The Doom3 COOP Sample Task SDK is compatible with Microsoft Visual Studio Express 2008 and later. It can be downloaded free at the following link:

Microsoft C++ VS2008E

Once you have extracted the "src" folder to a location of your choice open "D3Game.sln" with your visual studio express edition and convert the project files if necessary.

In the solution explorer window select "game" and choose to build either in "release" or "debug" mode (use "debug" to be able to set breakpoints, but be aware of the fact that the debug build will run considerably slower which is why for final showcase code always "release" builds should be used.)

Once the building/compilation process is completed a new "gamex86.dll" file is created. You can now either take this newly created gamex86.dll file and replace the stock "gamex86.dll" file located in the "d3coop_code.pk4" Doom3 archive file using "winzip/winrar" or you can simply place/overwrite that newly created "gamex86.dll" file in your "Doom3/d3coop" mod folder and set its attributes to "read-only", forcing the game to use your custom created gamecode dll.

Hi there, thanks for posting this but sadly the download Doom 3 SDK Coop test link you posted in the other post is broken. Can you please upload it again? I would appreciate that so much!
